QUETTA: The representative in Pakistan for United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) Ruvendrini Menikdiwela called on Governor Balochistan Amanullah Yasinzai in Quetta and discussed matters pertaining to the Afghan refugees.
During the meeting, Ruvendrini Kenikdiwela thanked Pakistani government for serving Afghan refugees for four decades.
Ruven Menikdiwela said Pakistan is the second Muslim country in the world that is hosting 1. 4 million Afghan refugees. She said UNHCR would continue his support to Pakistan in resolution of refugees issue.
Governor Balochistan on this occasion said the ongoing UNHCR projects including education and health would have positive impact on the people of the areas.
