SWABI/ NORTH WAZIRISTAN: In a series of tragic incidents, two police officers, including a senior officer, lost their lives in separate gun attacks by terrorists in Swabi and North Waziristan the other day.
According to reports gathered by MM News, the police officers in Swabi were on their way to their destination in a car when they were ambushed by terrorists who attacked them with grenades, killing one policeman on the spot, and leaving two others severely injured.
The martyred police officer was identified as ASI Sahir Khan. Upon receiving information about the attack, heavy contingents of the police force were deployed to the site of the attack, and the injured policemen were immediately shifted to the hospital. A search operation was also launched in the area to apprehend the attackers.
In a separate incident in Khaddi market, Mir Ali in North Waziristan, unknown gunmen opened fire, killing policeman Zahidullah on the spot. The body of Zahidullah was shifted to Mir Ali Hospital.
