There are 12 Indian women who have made a firm decision never to marry, as they strongly believe that marriage would hinder their life goals.
According to a report by Indian media outlet Local 18, all twelve women aspire to become financially independent and contribute meaningfully to society, considering it a more impactful way to serve their community.
Meenu Goyal, a member of the group, told the media that they are all engaged in social work. “I will never marry. All twelve of us are working together for the betterment of our society. Each one of us has her own responsibilities and areas of focus.”
“We have earned our place in society after a lot of struggle,” she added, emphasizing that marriage is not a priority for them. Instead, serving the nation and community is a more fulfilling purpose in life. At 30 years old, Meenu is happy with her decision.
Meenu comes from a family of four sisters, one brother, and a nephew. She is the third among her sisters, two of whom are already married. According to Meenu, while parents naturally wish for their children to marry, her parents are proud and happy when they see her dedicated to her work.
