TV host and actor Sahir Lodhi has been booked along with his associate Faisal Zia for allegedly defrauding a widow of Rs4 million, according to a police case registered in Karachi.
The case was registered at Shah Latif Town Police Station on the complaint of Naghma Wakeel, a resident of Landhi’s Majeed Colony.
According to FIR No. 1569/2026, the woman told police that she was introduced to Sahir Lodhi through Faisal Lashkarwala and gave him Rs4 million for investment.
The complainant alleged that Lodhi returned Rs250,000 on one occasion and Rs400,000 on another, while also issuing seven cheques for repayment, reportedly ranging from Rs800,000 to Rs900,000. She said all the cheques bounced when deposited at the Quaidabad branch.
According to her statement, Lodhi later issued another cheque for Rs4.4 million, which also failed to clear. She subsequently contacted his friend, Faisal Zia, who allegedly issued a Rs2 million cheque that was also dishonored.
After repeated attempts to recover her money, the woman approached the court and sought registration of a case under Sections 22-A and 22-B of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
Following a court order, police registered the case against Lodhi and Zia and launched an investigation.
