Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has said that United States President Donald Trump has demanded India to play a positive role in the region.
In a statement, FM Qureshi said that during the visit to India, Donald Trump has demanded India to extends a hand for promotion of regional peace and stability.
FM Qureshi said that US President has expressed desire for peace and stability in the region, adding that resolution of Kashmir issue is linked with peace and stability in South Asia.
FM Qureshi said that Donald Trump has told the world that Pakistan is a partner of peace in the war on terror, adding that Pakistan’s role in the region is being lauded.
The Minister said that Modi-led Indian government has further complicated the issue after revoking the special status of Kashmir.
The Minister said that India has imposed a curfew in Indian occupied Kashmir for 206 days, adding that in such situation, how talks can be held.
