KARACHI: Gold prices in Pakistan are seen stable on Sunday after reversing the sharp fall recorded two days earlier.
According to the All Pakistan Bullion Association, the price of 24‑karat gold per tola climbed to Rs424,236 after gaining Rs2,400, while the 10‑gram rate increased to Rs363,714 with a rise of Rs2,057.
Silver also strengthened, with the per tola price advancing to Rs6,070. In the international market, gold gained $24 per ounce, reflecting renewed investor demand amid persistent geopolitical uncertainty and inflationary pressures.
Analysts noted that the rebound underscores the volatility of bullion trading, where local prices remain closely tied to international trends and currency movements. Safe‑haven buying has supported the recovery, though traders caution that prices are likely to remain unstable in the coming days.
For consumers, the latest increase has once again made gold more expensive, particularly during the ongoing wedding season when demand traditionally rises. The swift turnaround highlights how quickly sentiment can shift, leaving both investors and buyers navigating unpredictable conditions.
This recovery follows Friday’s steep decline, when gold had dropped by Rs3,600 per tola, underscoring the fragile state of the bullion market. The back‑to‑back swings illustrate the uncertainty gripping global and local markets alike.
