Significant progress has been made in the investigation into the murder of TikToker Shamsoo alias Ayesha in Taxila, where police have obtained CCTV images of the alleged suspects involved in the shooting.
The images show two suspects fleeing the scene on a motorcycle without helmets and without a visible number plate.
According to police, important clues regarding the suspects have been obtained with the help of Safe City and other CCTV footage, modern technology, and evidence collected from the scene. Raids are also being conducted at various locations to apprehend them.
Earlier, police had detained four suspects, including two alleged facilitators of the main suspects, and launched an investigation. Officials said the scope of the investigation has been expanded and that the main suspects would soon be brought to justice.
It may be recalled that two days ago, two unidentified motorcycle riders opened fire on the vehicle of Shamsoo alias Ayesha in Taxila. She was shot in the neck and died at the scene, while her 15-year-old sister, Asma, sustained serious injuries. Following the shooting, the vehicle went out of control and collided with another vehicle.
According to police, the FIR registered in the case states that on August 14, the deceased allegedly received a phone call from a man identified as Kashif alias Kashi. She then left home with her sister and brother, but they were attacked while on their way.
The victim’s father, Fazal Sahibzada, said that he was informed of his daughter’s death after reaching the hospital. Police are continuing to investigate all aspects of the incident.
