Three famous personalities belonging to the Shia community of Gilgit Baltistan were killed in a road accident, that occurred in Sehwan Sharif, Sindh on Friday.
As per details, famous Manqabat reciter of Gilgit Baltistan, Khwaja Ali Kazim, Zain Turabi, and Syed Ali Jan Rizvi were en route to Karachi from Khairpur after attending an event of ‘Jishe Wiladat Imam Mehdi’ when their car met an accident in Sehwan and all the three passed away.
On the immediate instructions of Allama Syed Asad Iqbal Zaidi, Provincial President of Shia Ulema Council Pakistan Sindh, Divisional Secretary Hyderabad Ali Muhammad Shakir, and his cabinet have reached the scene of the incident and are busy with initial relief operations.
In a separate accident in Sehwan, five people died while six others received critical injuries when a speedy Fortuner collided with a car while overtaking it from the wrong side on the Indus Highway.
Sources said that the accident occurred near the Sun area of Sehwan. The passenger car was en route to Hyderabad from Sehwan.
Two of the deceased were identified as Abdul Ghani and Jan Ali Shah and three of the injured were named as Ishaq Niazi, Majid Ali, and Bilal Niazi who are residents of Lahore. Identification of the remaining deceased and the wounded was still in progress.
