Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has forwarded a summary to the federal government seeking a Rs2.49 per liter reduction in petrol price and a Rs9.11 in diesel price for the next fifteen days, a private TV channel reported on Friday.
According to the details, the federal government has already decided to provide relief to the general public after the decrease in the price of crude oil in the international market.
After getting the nod from the federal government, the new petroleum prices will be decreased from Rs254.64 to Rs257.13 per liter, affecting from February 16, 2025.
The diesel price will be cut by Rs9.11, the diesel will be available in the market at Rs258.84 per liter instead of Rs267.85.
The kerosene oil will be dropped by Rs3.45 per liter while the price of light diesel will be reduced by Rs5.60 per liter.
