KARACHI: Three people were killed and two others injured when a car collided with a roadside parked trailer at Shershah area of the metropolis in the wee hours of Tuesday.
According to rescue sources, a fast-moving car collided with a roadside parked trailer at Shershah Chowk. As a result, three people, Farooq, Iftikhar and Kamran suffered severe injuries and died on the spot, while two others, Jameel and Sohail sustained injuries.
Police citing the accident said due to overspending the car went out of driver’s control and rammed with the trailer. The victims are said to be friends and residents of Shershah and Urdu Bazar.
The bodies and the injured were shifted to the Civil Hospital Karachi for autopsies and treatment, respectively. The relative of Iftikhar said he was taking his friends for a treat of a new car bought two days ago, when the accident happened.
On Monday in another road accident that occurred in Punjab, at least three people died and two others sustained severe injuries between a rickshaw and a motorbike collision at Sher wala link road near Chichawatni.
According to police sources, injured were shifted to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Chichawatni for medical treatment.
