FAISALABAD: Chaos at a flour distribution point has claimed another life in Punjab following the government’s announcement that it will give away free flour sacks to deserving families.
This is the 3rd death in two days at flour distribution point.
An incident involving a senior citizen who was trying to receive flour at a distribution point in Faisalabad was reported. The senior citizen was killed in the stampede.
A senior citizen named Muhammad Kaleem was reportedly discovered unconscious at Park’s main gate, according to rescue sources. He died at the General Hospital Samanabad after being transported there.
These elders lost their lives while getting free flour in that country. During the stampede and mismanagement at the flour distribution point, many citizens sustained injuries after police started a baton charge to disperse the crowd.
