K-Electric has announced scheduled maintenance shutdowns across selected feeders in Karachi on May 6, 2026, with power outages expected to last between 8 to 10 hours in different areas.
According to the utility, the planned shutdowns are part of infrastructure upgradation and system maintenance work aimed at improving reliability and service delivery. The maintenance activity will be carried out between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM, with different localities experiencing staggered outages during this window.
Residents in affected areas are expected to face power interruptions ranging from a minimum of 8 hours to a maximum of 10 hours, which may disrupt daily routines and business activities.
KE said that updates regarding affected feeders and timings will be available through the KE Live App, the 118 helpline, and its official social media channels.
