Bollywood’s upcoming female-led movie ‘Thank You For Coming’ is a sex comedy featuring many Indian actresses.
Produced by Ekta Kapoor and Rhea Kapoor, the movie seems to tackle one of the taboo topics considered shameful to highlight in countries like India and Pakistan.
The trailer for the movie has recently been released. However, the release of a new poster flared controversy on social media as it shed light on women’s pleasure, stating that 50 percent of women typically don’t experience orgasm during sexual encounters as compared to men.

This poster was enough to initiate outraged on social media platforms as earlier mentioned, such topics in Asian countries especially in India and Pakistan as considered almost a taboo.

Following the debate over the bold poster, many social media users labelled the upcoming movie as ‘vulgar’ and ‘borderline pornographic’ even before watching the trailer.

Many critics the Indian censored board for approving such movies and even called out Ekta Kapoor for creating and producing such controversial films. This is not the first time Kapoor has made headline for producing such content. Her previous movie ‘Veere Di Wedding’ starring Kareena Kapoor also contained a similar content. Â
On other hand, some of the users opined that ‘Thank You For Coming’ might bring a refreshing change to the Indian cinema with its unique storyline. Featuring Bhumi Pednekar, Shehnaaz Gill, and Anil Kapoor. It also features Kusha Kapila, Dolly Singh and Shibani Bedi.
The film is set to premiere at the 14th Toronto International Film Festival 2023 which will be taking place from October 4 to October 13. ‘Thank You For Coming’ is scheduled to be released on October 6, 2023.
