KARACHI: Shah Latif Town police have arrested a driver allegedly involved in the burglary of a tyre and alloy rims warehouse in Karachi’s Defence Housing Authority (DHA) Phase II and recovered the vehicle and stolen goods.
According to police, the warehouse was burgled after the suspects broke its locks and escaped with tyres, rims and 140 alarm systems. The stolen tyres and rims were reportedly worth approximately Rs15 million.
Following the incident, a case was registered and an investigation was launched.
Stolen Items Recovered from Shah Latif Town
During the operation, police traced and arrested the driver allegedly involved in transporting the stolen goods.
A truck loaded with the stolen items was also recovered from Shah Latif Town.
Police officials said the 140 Alloy Rims systems recovered during the operation were handed over to Defence police.
They added that the arrested suspect had concealed the stolen tyres and rims at a warehouse in Shah Latif Town.
Further interrogation of the driver is under way to identify his accomplices and determine their involvement in the burglary.
