NEW YORK: American writer Stephenie Meyer has announced a prequel to the four-book saga of the best selling novel “Twilight” to be released on 4th August.
The fifth book of Stephenie Meyer’s romance fantasy series will soon be hitting shelves, titled ‘Midnight Sun’. The new book of the author will retell the love story between Bella and Edward depicted in “Twilight,” but from his point of view.
The story will narrate his side of how he first meets Bella Swan, a human high school classmate who later becomes his wife. Earlier installments have been told from Bella’s point of view.
“I am very excited to finally announce the release of ‘Midnight Sun’ on 4th August. It’s a crazy time right now, and I wasn’t sure if it was the right time to put this book out, but some have you have been waiting for just so, so long, it didn’t seem fair to make you wait anymore,” Meyer said during an appearance in a morning show.
Meyer’s “Twilight” series has sold more than 100 million copies worldwide and was adapted into a blockbuster film franchise that starred Robert Pattinson as Edward and Kristen Stewart as Bella Swan, the teenager who falls in love with him.
