ISLAMABAD: The Sri Lankan cricket team has arrived at Islamabad International Airport today in the early morning to play two Test-series.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) in this regard posted a tweet upon the international team’s arrival in the country.
The two matches of Test-series between Sri Lanka and Pakistan will be played from 11th to 23rd December in Karachi and Rawalpindi.

International cricket of the five-day Test format has been absent from Pakistan since an attack on the Sri Lankan cricket team bus in Lahore back in 2009 that resulted in injuries to several touring players.

The Sri Lankan team had agreed to play a Test series in Pakistan after the successful staging of One-Day and T20 internationals in the country earlier this year.
The arrival holds significant importance as it signals the return of the longer format of the game in Pakistan after a gap of more than ten years.
