The SRF16 Style Runway Fashion Show, now in its 16th season, dazzled attendees at the Sunset Club DHA, Karachi with a remarkable evening of fashion, art, and talent. Organized by the dynamic Zia Zafar, the event set a new standard for fashion showcases in Pakistan, drawing a packed audience of celebrities, models, actors, and designers.
The runway was a vibrant tapestry of talent, with renowned female models such as Mathira, Hiba Ali, Bisma Babar, Saima Haroon, Yumna Irfan, Rida Khan, Fuzaan Khan, Benita David, and Beena, strutting their stuff in stunning designer creations. On the male side, Shamoon Abbasi, Taqi Ahmed, Shoaib Hassan, Adil Khan, Mohamed Kabir, Shakeel Butt, and Arman Khan brought their own charm and charisma to the event.
A standout feature of SRF16 was the incredible lineup of designers showcasing their collections. Renowned brands such as Trends Meena Kaari, Thara’s, Rehber Collection by Ahsen Ali, Hassan Syed, Rivaj Men, and Beena’s Collection presented exquisite pieces that captivated the audience. To ensure that the models looked their absolute best, Spotlight Salon by Asma Naz served as the exclusive backstage makeup partner, working its magic behind the scenes.
The evening also had the honor of welcoming Mirza Ishtiaq Baig, the Honorary Consul General of the Kingdom of Morocco, as the chief guest. Baig praised Pakistan’s fashion industry, acknowledging the extraordinary talent within the country. However, he urged that more efforts be made to offer greater international exposure to local designers.
Zia Zafar, the chief organizer of SRF16, shared his passion for promoting Pakistan’s fashion industry. He expressed pride in the show’s continued success, with 15 seasons already under its belt, and emphasized SRF16’s role in offering new models the opportunity to showcase their skills. “This is not just a fashion show, but a platform for emerging talent,” Zafar stated.
The SRF16 event was not only a celebration of fashion but also a testament to the growing influence of Pakistan’s fashion scene, as it continues to evolve, offering fresh talent a chance to shine on the international stage.
