LAHORE: Interim coach of the national cricket team Thaqleen Mushtaq has taken over his responsibilities.
On the occasion, Thaqleen Mushtaq said that it is a matter of pride to work with the national cricket team. Moreover, the sports staff of the national cricket team for the New Zealand series has been announced.
Mansoor Rana was appointed team manager, Thaqleen Mushtaq head coach, and Shahid Aslam assistant to head coach. Abdul Razzaq Assistant Coach, Abdul Majeed Fielding Coach, and Cliffe Deacon Physiotherapist were appointed.
Talha Ijaz will be the team analyst. Col. Imran Dar will be the Security Manager, Ibrahim Badis will be the Team Media Manager and Malang Ali will be the Massager. In place of Abdul Razzaq, Akram Raza will head the coaching staff of Central Punjab.
Earlier, the squad for the World Cup T20 was announced. The same team will also participate in the New Zealand series. The squad includes captain Babar Azam, vice-captains Shadab Khan and Asif Ali. Azam Khan, Haris Rauf, Hassan Ali, Emad Wasim, Khushdal Shah, and Mohammad Hafeez are also part of the team. Mohammad Hasnain, Mohammad Nawaz, Mohammad Rizwan, Mohammad Wasim Jr., Shaheen Shah Afridi, and Sohaib Maqsood are also part of the team.

Fakhr Zaman, Shahnawaz Dhani, and Usman Qadir have been included in the reserve players. It may be recalled that the New Zealand cricket team is scheduled to arrive in Pakistan on September 11.
A series of 3 ODIs and 5 T20 matches will be played between the two teams. After that, the England team will come to Pakistan and play two T20 matches on October 13 and 14 in Rawalpindi.
