SHANGLA: A woman from the Belkanai area of Kana Tehsil was brutally murdered with an axe by her son on Wednesday due to a domestic dispute.
The complaint indicates that the victim, identified as Mumtaza Bibi, was at home when her son, Akhtar Nawaz, killed her with an axe, allegedly at the instigation of his uncle, Muhammad Ayaz.
Preliminary police investigations reveal that Mumtaza Bibi had advised Akhtar Nawaz against going out with his uncle, which reportedly enraged him. In a fit of anger, he attacked and killed his mother with the axe.
DPO Imran Khan informed journalists that Jehan Bar, the victim’s brother, reported the crime. He disclosed that Mumtaza Bibi had been married to Riaz Muhammad for about 22 years, and the couple had been facing some domestic issues.

A case under Section 302 of the Pakistan Penal Code has been filed at the Olandar police station, and both Akhtar Nawaz and Muhammad Ayaz have been arrested. The police are continuing their investigation into the case.
