KARACHI: Sindh government spokesperson Murtaza Wahab has rejected the reports of banning the Sinopharm vaccine, saying that only its fresh dose had been stopped for the time being.
“Sinopharm vaccine has not been banned in Sindh, only its fresh dose has been stopped for the time being,” the spokesperson wrote on Twitter while using a #SayYesToVaccine hashtag.
Murtaza Wahab further wrote, “This decision has been made to ensure adequate supply for people who have already received their 1st dose of Sinopharm.”
Wahab’s clarification was in response to a few media reports which claimed the provincial government had banned the use of the Sinopharm vaccine and had sought the names of officials who were still administering it to people.
