KARACHI: The Sindh government has banned private schools from barring students from buying their uniforms or books from a specific shop.
In this regard, Director General Private Institution Sindh Dr. Mansoob Hussain Siddiqui issued a letter to all the private schools of the province, in which the administration of these schools was instructed that all private schools provide a list of books, copies, stationery, uniforms, etc.
According to the post, parents must be given the freedom to buy their own things.
Private educational institutions will not oblige parents to purchase these items from a specific location or school, while educational institutions are obliged to receive only and only approved fees from students, the letter added.
There will be no illegal fees for different names to celebrate different days. The law will be prosecuted against private educational institutions receiving illegal fees.
Director-General Private Institution Sindh Dr. Mansoob Hussain Siddiqui also set up a grievance cell in his office, where parents can lodge their grievances with an identity card and mobile number.
Instructions have also been issued to all Regional Directors across Sindh to set up inspection teams in their respective areas who, upon receiving the complaint, visit such private educational institutions and recommend action against the violating agencies.
