Light to moderate rain has started in different areas of Karachi, which has made the weather pleasant. The Meteorological Department has forecast heavy rain in the city on Friday evening.
According to the Meteorological Department, Korangi, Surjani, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, DHA Phase 8, Saddar, and surrounding areas received heavy rain, while intermittent drizzle continues in some areas.
The highest rainfall of 17 mm was recorded in Gulshan-e-Hadeed last night. According to the data, 12 mm was recorded on Sharjah-e-Faisal, 9 mm in the Old City area, 7.8 mm in DHA Phase 2, 5 mm at the airport, and 2 mm on University Road.
According to the latest analysis of the Meteorological Department, the intensity of the circulation in the Indian Gujarat region and the adjacent North Arabian Sea is increasing, and it has almost become a low-pressure system.
Under the influence of the system, intermittent rains will continue in many areas of Sindh, especially the lower and coastal areas, for the next 2 to 3 days.
Despite the rain last night, the weather is still slightly humid, and the temperature already felt in different areas of the city is around 37 to 40 degrees Celsius.
Moderate to heavy rain is expected in Karachi from noon to late tonight. During this time, thundershowers and heavy rains may also occur in some areas of the city.
It should be noted that under the monsoon spell, rains are predicted in Sindh, including Karachi, until July 1st.
