A shocking scandal has emerged in Kasur’s Khudian area, with allegations that a group of young men lured girls into relationships before allegedly using private videos and recordings to blackmail them.
A serious case involving alleged honey-trapping, blackmailing, and the recording of objectionable videos has surfaced in Qabar Kot area of Kasur district, within the jurisdiction of Khudian police station. Several young men have been accused of allegedly targeting multiple women and girls.
According to the website Punjab Post, five young men allegedly spent the past three years befriending dozens of girls by luring them with promises of friendship and love, obtaining their audio recordings, videos, and pictures, and later using the material to blackmail them.
The report claims that around 25 girls were affected and that more than 3,000 audio recordings, videos, and pictures were allegedly in their possession.
A victim, speaking on condition of anonymity, alleged that an emotional relationship was first established, after which she was pressured through recorded conversations to meet privately. She claimed that additional objectionable material was then created and used for continued blackmail.
Another girl alleged that she was sent videos of another victim and threatened that her own videos would also be uploaded on social media if she refused to comply with demands.
The report further claimed that the suspects had installed cameras in their house and also used mobile phone screen-recording features.
Meanwhile, relevant police officials said that no formal complaint had been received so far, and therefore legal action had not yet been initiated.
The alleged victims said they avoided approaching police due to fears of social stigma and concerns about their families’ reputation.
Local residents have called on the Punjab government and law enforcement agencies to conduct a transparent investigation and take strict action against those found responsible.
