ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Climate Change Sherry Rehman has praised All India Democratic Women’s Association (AIDWA) for putting up Benazir Bhutto’s poster as an iconic leader during the National Conference scheduled to be held in Thiruvananthapuram from the 6 to 9 January 2023.
This came when a board with Bhutto’s picture was placed in front of Palayam Market Thiruvananthapuram. Benazir’s picture is captioned as the first female Prime Minister of Pakistan, a woman who received doctorates from 9 universities including Howard.
Taking to Twitter, Sherry Rehman said “Extremists everywhere hate the Bhutto name. In Kerala,India when the All India Democratic Women’s Association put up Shaheed Benazir Bhutto’s poster as an iconic leader, BJP crowds vandalised it. Her courage outshines their hate. Kudos to #AIDWA for standing up to their ideals.”
