RAWALPINDI: Former interior minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed has slammed the government, saying one opposition leader made his son the foreign minister and the other the chief minister.
He was talking to media after getting bail in blasphemy cases in Rawalpind. The court granted bail in exchange of Rs 100,000 surety bonds while the Islamabad High Court directed to consolidate the cases.
Criticising the federal government, Sheikh Rashid said that he was seeing the elections this year. “Shehbaz Sharif cannot run the government, the situation of good governance is such that one made his son the foreign minister, the other the chief minister. If the government gives a date for the elections, we will negotiate,” he said.
Former federal minister Sheikh Rashid said that Imran Khan would not talk to anyone without the announcement of the date of the elections. “The government is voluntarily changing voter lists and constituencies. Votes are being changed and thrown from one constituency to another, which is an open fraud,” he added
Awami League chief Sheikh Rashid appeared before Islamabad High Court Judge Justice Muhammad Tariq Nadeem in blasphemy cases. The High Court granted bail to Sheikh Rashid in exchange of Rs100,000 bail before his arrest.
