ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed on Wednesday said that all three meetings of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) gave no result.
He thanked God for an incompetent opposition.
Talking to media in Islamabad, Rasheed said Fazal-ur-Rehman came to Islamabad at the time of protest but now the opposition’s train has been missed.
Referring to the leaked audio tape of Ex Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Saqib Nisar, Sheikh Rasheed said that the opposition is now playing media, media and video, video only and they do not have a solid defense for their allegations. Government will complete its term.
Moreover, the Interior Minister claimed that inflation is due to those who have looted the country in past and they should be severely punished for it.
He further said that matters of EVMs will be settled with the Election Commission and the next voting list will show image of voters.
The Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) had decided to take up the government’s “controversial” bills in the Supreme Court and ramp up the Opposition alliance’s country-wide protests.
In a virtual meeting, PDM chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman tasked JUI-F Senator Kamran Murtaza, PML-N Deputy Secretary Atta Tarar, and former premier Shahid Khaqan Abbasi to prepare legal grounds for challenging the bills, according to a statement issued
