LAHORE: Former Chief Minister of Punjab and PML (N) leader Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif met former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Thursday to discuss the Azadi March and Kasur incident.
Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday met the imprisoned ex-Prime Minister of Pakistan Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and discussed several important matters.
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the arrest of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) senior leader Khursheed Shah, the sit-in of the Jamiat Ulema-e Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman and the killing of children in Kasur.
The agenda of the meeting also included the discussion pertaining to the ongoing cases against the Sharif family whereas, the former prime minister was informed about the arrest of PPP stalwart Khursheed Shah.
Nawaz Sharif said that the PTI led government will still get nothing if they lock down the entire opposition. “Put politicians in jail, took control over everything and yet the government utterly failed”, he added.
Sources told that Nawaz Sharif reiterated that nation is in serious trouble and incumbent government has halted even those projects which they started. He also lauded former CM Shehbaz and said that the present government could not do anything in the province, on the contrary to his brilliant performance.
Sharif had also shared some important issues of Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s strategic plans and suggested that Maulana hold a sit-in in October while we recommend taking a sit-in in November. He also said that Maulana Fazlur Rehman would fail if he could not bring people to the sit-in.
Nawaz Sharif condemned the killing of minors in Kasur and said, “People are fed up with the government and lost confidence in it”. Shehbaz replied that the government has failed to provide security and protection to the people.
