Several flights delayed due to fog in Karachi

KARACHI: Many flights have been delayed due to fog at the airport in Sindh capital.

According to details, flights from Karachi to Islamabad were delayed due to fog at 7 am today. Flights to Lahore and Peshawar have also been delayed.

The flight from Karachi to Peshawar was scheduled for 1 pm due to heavy fog. Flight Inquiry in this regard said that the flight to Dubai was also delayed by two hours.

The flight of a foreign airline from Karachi to Istanbul was also postponed. Civil aviation said that flights will be fully restored as soon as the fog subsides. Earlier, the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) had ordered the airlines to refund 100 percent of the airline tickets for canceling the flight.

The CAA last month took stern notice of the cancellation of domestic flights and directed airlines to use their own or other airlines to deliver passengers to their destinations.
