Speaking of a strong message, Dirilis: Ertugrul, a hugely popular Turkish television series, has made its way to Pakistani screens.  The drama has broken records of popularity throughout the Muslim world.

The drama is based on the life and times of the 13th-century Muslim Oghuz Turk leader, Ertugrul Ghazi, the father of Osman who was the founder of the Ottoman dynasty, which ruled a large part of the world for 600 years. This play will keep you hooked to the screen.

First launched in 2014, the five-season series produced by Turkish Radio and Television (TRT) has already hit the screen in 60 countries.

The series first aired in Pakistan last month, with Urdu dubbing. Since then, Ertugrul’s military conquests, family dilemmas, and religious convictions have become all the rage in the country.
