KARACHI: Serious violations have been reported in the recruitment of Sindh Education Board’s Chairman posts.
Sindh High Court Hyderabad’s order for the posts of Chairman of Sindh Education Board had been completely neglected by Secretary Boards and Universities controlling authority, after their research team had scheduled interviews from November 3 to November 10.
In Hyderabad High Court’s petition no. 1192/2021 the advertisement for the post of Chairman Board was declared controversial, after raising objections of rewarding and recruiting people with private experiences on political grounds.
Moreover, after the court had summoned Secretary Board’s and University’s search committee earlier this year in August, they had ridiculed the orders by their persistent absences on the hearings.
The court had asked the teams on 25 August that, whether anyone had gone against the court’s decision in 2016 or any changes had been made to the law? to which committees had not submitted their answers to date.
Moreover, the court further summoned Secretary Board’s and University’s search committee on 2nd November. Meanwhile, the sources said, the controlling authority and the Minister of Boards and Universities have been kept in the dark by the Secretary to the Board, Dr. Mansoor Abbas.
In this regard, experts say that powerful secretarial boards are giving misleading information to the court because of their ego. While, Chief Secretary Sindh should take action in the light of the orders of the court and stop the interviews immediately so that further contempt of court can be avoided.
