ISLAMABAD: The Kashmiri nation will be observing the day of self-determination all over the world including Occupied Jammu and Kashmir today.

On this occasion, President Dr. Arif Alvi and PM Imran Khan expressed solidarity with the oppressed Kashmiris. According to the details, a resolution was tabled in the United Nations on January 5, 1949, in favour of Kashmiris’ right to self-determination, but India violated the UN resolutions.

With the passage of time, the struggle of the oppressed Kashmiris, instead of weakening, has intensified. By celebrating the day of self-determination, Kashmiris aim to expose the brutal face of India.

The main purpose of celebrating Self-Determination Day is to remind the United Nations and the international community of the resolutions adopted for basic human rights and to stop the exploitation of the rights of the oppressed Kashmiris. India started a new chapter of oppression by abolishing the constitutional status of occupied Kashmir.

Oppressed Kashmiris will hold rallies against India on the occasion of Right to Self-Determination Day and the atrocities of the Indian Army will be exposed by holding rallies. PM Imran Khan and President Dr. Arif Alvi expressed solidarity with the Kashmiri nation.

President Dr. Arif Alvi has said that the international community should fulfill its responsibilities on the rights of oppressed Kashmiris. The Jammu and Kashmir dispute should be decided by a fair referendum under the auspices of the United Nations.

PM Imran Khan on the occasion of Self-Determination Day demanded from the international community that the oppressed Kashmiris cannot be deprived of their basic rights.
