Seema Haider, who illegally entered India from Pakistan, has given birth to a baby girl. The newborn was delivered at 4 AM on Tuesday at Krishna Hospital in Greater Noida, as reported by Indian media.
According to a report, both Seema Haider and her daughter are in good health, confirmed their lawyer, A.P. Singh. Seema Haider and her husband, Sachin Meena, have requested the public to suggest a name for their daughter. Their lawyer stated, “This is a moment of joy for the entire country and the world.
We appeal to social media users to propose a name for the newborn girl in accordance with Indian traditions. The name receiving the highest votes will be finalized.”
Seema Haider, a resident of Sindh province in Pakistan and a mother of four, illegally entered India via Nepal in 2023 to live with her Indian lover, Sachin Meena, whom she met while playing the online game “PUBG.”
She left her first husband, Ghulam Haider, in Pakistan and settled in India with her four children and Sachin Meena. However, due to her illegal entry, both Seema Haider and Sachin Meena were arrested in July 2023 but were later released on bail.
Seema Haider converted to Hinduism and married Sachin Meena. Since then, she has been fighting for the legal right to permanent residence in India.
Her first husband, Ghulam Haider, in Pakistan has repeatedly pleaded for her return. He claims that Seema Haider was misled and left him behind. He has urged the Indian government to send her back to Pakistan so that their children can be raised in Pakistani society.
Seema Haider has made it clear, saying, “I would rather die than leave Sachin or return to Pakistan. I request the Indian government to grant me citizenship.”
