LAHORE: The session court has extended bail of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Vice president Maryam Nawaz’s husband Captain retired Safdar in the scuffling with police case till 12th October.
Captain retired Safdar appeared before Judge Tajamul Shahzad heard an application today in the scuffle with police case while Safdar said that he was being made a target of political victimization and allegations against him are all baseless.
The application indicated that the police had registered a case against the petitioner for scuffling with policemen when his wife, Maryam Nawaz, was produced before an accountability court.
The petition bail claimed that the Captain had registered a case against Safdar on political grounds against the facts.
The application further claimed that the case has been lodged against the petitioner, contrary to the facts, based on political grounds.

The Court ordered Safdar to be part of the investigation extended his interim bail till 12th October while the court also instructed the Islampura police not to arrest Safdar.
Last month, Safdar and 14 PML-N workers were booked by the police for hurling threats at policemen during the court appearance of party leaders. The PML-N workers were charged under Sections 186, 147, 149 and 353 of the Pakistan Penal Code.
