ISLAMABAD: Saudi Arabia is expected to hold a meeting of foreign ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to discuss the situation in Indian occupied Kashmir (IoK).
The move came after Saudi Arabia’s Minister for Foreign Affairs, Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al-Saud arrived in Islamabad earlier on Thursday to hold a meeting with his counterpart Shah Mehmood Qureshi.
Faisal bin Farhan al-Saud delivered the message to Shah Mehmood Qureshi while discussing the role of the OIC in advancing the IoK matter.
Qureshi also highlighted India’s recently implemented Citizenship Amendment Act and the national registration of citizens and the targeting of minorities, particularly Muslims in India.
The Saudi Foreign Minister said that Riyadh remained committed to a fundamental relationship between the two countries.
