Saudi Arabia has introduced a new digital “Tourist Package Visa” for citizens of seven countries, including Pakistan, as part of its efforts to make travel to the Kingdom easier and support its growing tourism sector under Vision 2030.
The initiative, announced by the Saudi Tourism Authority, enables eligible travelers to apply for a tourist visa while booking an integrated travel package through approved travel providers.
Instead of arranging flights, accommodation and visa applications separately, visitors can complete the entire process in a single booking, which may also include events, activities and other tourism experiences.
Saudi Tourism Minister Ahmed Al Khateeb said the Kingdom has been simplifying travel since the launch of Vision 2030 through measures such as the electronic tourist visa (eVisa), visa on arrival and transit visas. He said the new Package Visa further streamlines the visitor journey by integrating visa issuance with travel bookings.
According to the Ministry of Tourism, the pilot service is currently available to travelers from Pakistan, Mexico, Indonesia, Egypt, India, Bangladesh and Jordan. Eligible applicants will receive their visas within 48 hours of purchasing an approved travel package.
