The Saudi government has officially announced the Umrah calendar for 2025, confirming that the new Umrah season will begin on June 11, shortly after the conclusion of Hajj.
The issuance of Umrah visas is scheduled to commence on June 10, paving the way for pilgrims from around the world to perform the minor pilgrimage.
This announcement comes amid warnings from Saudi authorities of an exceptionally hot Hajj season, with daytime temperatures expected to soar up to 47°C.
The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has issued a comprehensive advisory for pilgrims, forecasting hot to extremely hot weather across the holy sites in Makkah and Madinah.
According to NCM forecasts, daytime temperatures will range between 40°C and 47°C, with night-time lows dropping to 27°C–32°C. Humidity levels are predicted to fluctuate between 15% and 60%, adding to the discomfort for pilgrims.
