Actress Saheefa Jabbar, who regretted giving her maid an amount of 50,000 rupees, has responded to critics by saying that in today’s era, earning 50,000 rupees in a single day is not an easy task. “I do not give anyone the right to harass me or misinterpret my words,” she stated.
According to details, the actress gave her maid 50,000 rupees, which the maid spent on her husband and children. However, the actress had expected her to focus on her immediate needs, which did not happen, leading Saheefa Jabbar to openly express her regret. Nevertheless, social media users criticized her for her remarks.
In her Instagram message, Saheefa Jabbar said, “My statement is being twisted for personal interests, which no one has the right to do. I wanted my housemaid to secure her future, take care of her children, and ensure their health and education, but that did not happen.”
The actress further stated, “If you want to eliminate class differences, will you eat from the same plate as your housemaid? Will you drink from the same glass? Will you give her your clothes to wear? If not, then stop the hypocrisy. I am speaking the truth, and I have no reason to be ashamed of it.”
Earlier, Saheefa Jabbar had given her housemaid 50,000 rupees as charity, but the woman spent the money on buying clothes for her husband and children and purchasing a new bicycle for her child. The actress revealed that she and her mother found out through social media what the charity money had been used for, which made her very unhappy.
She added, “It is painful when less privileged people are helped, and they waste the money. If a person works multiple jobs and barely earns 1,000 to 1,500 rupees per day, it is hard to understand how they can spend 50,000 rupees on clothes and a bicycle for their children in just two days.”
“My maid’s priority was buying clothes, even though her bathroom doesn’t even have a roof,” she said. The actress further explained that the maid bought a new bicycle for her child for 8,000 rupees, Eid clothes for her children for 10,000 rupees, and an outfit for her husband for 7,000 rupees. “I had already given them plenty of clothes,” she added.
