The Ministry of Hajj in Saudi Arabia has released key guidelines for pilgrims to ensure their safety and well-being during the ongoing Umrah season.
As the pilgrimage continues, authorities have stressed the importance of physical preparation, particularly foot care, to help worshippers comfortably perform rituals at the Grand Mosque in Makkah.
The ministry has advised pilgrims to avoid walking barefoot over long distances and recommended wearing comfortable footwear in non-prayer areas. Pilgrims are also encouraged to take breaks when feeling tired to prevent exhaustion.
Furthermore, staying hydrated and avoiding heavy meals are additional measures highlighted to maintain energy throughout the pilgrimage.
The current Umrah season that began after the Hajj in late June follows last year’s turnout of 13.5 million pilgrims. Saudi Arabia is aiming to welcome 15 million pilgrims next year. New facilities and regulations, such as extending the Umrah visa to 90 days, have been introduced to accommodate the growing number of worshippers.
