MIRPUR: Four died and 50 others were injured in Azad Kashmir when the roof a building collapsed after a 5.8 magnitude earthquake jolted parts of Pakistan on Monday.
Rescue officials reached the site after the roof collapsed in Mirpur. The rescue services shifted the injured people to the local hospitals for medical treatment. Emergency has been imposed in the Government hospitals all across the Azad Kashmir region.
The jolts of the earthquake were also felt in India. According to the European Mediterranean Seismological Centre, the earthquake struck north of Jehlum, at a depth of 5 km.
Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhuwa, Islamabad and other areas of the country felt the jolts of the earthquake on Tuesday morning.

Sheikhupura, Hafizabad, Chiniot, Jalalpur, Bajaur, Mirpur, Zafarwal, Skardu, Manga Mandi, Kohat, Charsadda,Kamoke, Kasur, Faisalabad, Rawalpindi, Daska, Gujrat, Sialkot, Abbottabad, Mansehra, Chitral, Malakand, Multan, Shangla, Okara, Nowshera, Attock, Jhang were among the places which were rattled by the earthquake.
According to Indian media, the tremors were also felt in New Delhi, Chandigarh as well as occupied Kashmir recording at 5.8 magnitude
