Everyone is worried because of inflation worldwide and saying that inflation should be low, but as individuals, we are not ready to give up on our profit margins. We only wish to see inflation decreasing for ourselves, not for others.
When asked about inflation, everyone says what they can do. How do they sell cheaply in times of inflation? Look at the one who is causing inflation under some pretext. But when it comes to increasing the prices, the person has many justifications.
These conditions are not only for Pakistanis but for the whole world. If salaries increase by 10%, inflation increases by 70%. People cannot reduce their needs, needs are increasing like inflation. It is because of this society. We do not lead to change of society and the government does not change itself. The government gives its justification while the public has a separate justification for inflation
If you go to any country, it seems that people blame each other for inflation, but how long will it last? People and governments will have to think that the solution to the problems of inflation cannot be solved in the closed rooms of Geneva at the World Economic Forum, nor will it be solved on the terms of the IMF. The whole world created different institutions to improve human conditions, but the same institutions made the situation worse.
Take the example of the IMF, the funds want the price of electricity to be increased. Will increasing the price of electricity reduce inflation in the life of a common man? Will Pakistan’s trade increase? Will manufacturers be able to sell their products cheaper? The IMF probably doesn’t have the answer to all these questions, or they don’t want to give it and they are bent on meeting their conditions, like a usurer who pledges his property to someone when he lends it to him.
On the other hand, the IMF is seeking an increase in gas prices. Will the increase in gas prices help poor people to keep their stoves burning despite their low incomes? Does the IMF not know that the people of Pakistan are forced to live in poverty? And the daily income of a Pakistani is so much that he can hardly eat one meal. IMF is not thinking that people are not asking for luxuries at this time, they only want three-time meal a day.
IMF wants to increase taxes, especially GST. For every poor person who buys an item worth Rs 100, he pays Rs 17 in tax on top of that. If a person buys 10,000 rupees worth of food and drinks for his household. 1700 rupees goes to the government. If the tax increases by even 1 percent, inflation increases further. Everything that rich and poor people buy is taxed.
The IMF wants the dollar to be freely traded. Doesn’t the IMF know that those who hoard, keep buying dollars so that the dollar is scarce and that demand increases the price.
Most of the inflation in the world today is caused by banks and multinational companies. But no one talks about them. This is because they silence people by using legal tactics. The court of Pakistan has given a very good decision to abolish usury banking and keep Islamic banking only in Pakistan. But the thing to think about is whether we will use the old banking again like the wine sellers by putting a new label on the old wine or we will go towards Islamic banking in the true sense.
Big inflation-busting people who are honoring each other with big awards, big hotels, this has also been turned into a business these days. The organizer of each award asks the awardee to advertise from Rs10 thousand to 10 lakhs and then invite to a luxury hotel and give the award. My question is to those people who advertise and buy awards for themselves, are they deceiving themselves or the public? It’s like a certain group of economists claiming to change the economy have been in government for the past 70 years. are working and every time it is heard that there is a compulsion of Pakistan due to which the country has to take loans.
An economist is said to be a person who, according to his own resources, makes plans that lead to the success of a person’s business and the country. Just think how much you have contributed to ending inflation and how much the government has contributed. And stop blaming each other.
