KARACHI: In a coordinated crackdown on organized crime and narcotics trafficking, Pakistani law enforcement agencies have made significant arrests and seizures across multiple cities.
In Karachi’s Malir Shah Town, Rangers apprehended four suspects linked to a notorious street crime gang, including its alleged leader. Security personnel recovered two mobile phones and cash, with the group also implicated in stealing iron and brass from the Steel Mill.
In another development, the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) seized 20 kilograms of narcotics in seven separate operations across the country.
The ANF spokesperson said the raids were conducted in Attock, Jhang, Karachi, and Peshawar, leading to the arrest of six suspects, including a woman. The recovered contraband included 15 kilograms of hashish and five kilograms of crystal meth (ice).
Officials revealed that one of the suspects confessed to selling drugs to students of educational institutions. The ANF confirmed that cases have been registered under the Anti-Narcotics Act, 1997, and further investigations are underway.
