Popular YouTuber Rajab Butt is once again facing legal trouble after being charged under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA) at Lahore’s Nishter Colony police station. This latest case revolves around the release of his perfume, aptly titled “295,” which sparked blasphemy allegations.
The case, filed under Section 295-A and the PECA Act, highlights the controversy sparked by Rajab’s perfume launch. It has drawn strong reactions, particularly due to its perceived connection to the blasphemy law and its title, “295.”
Complainant Ramzan Bhatti alleged that Rajab disrespected blasphemy law 295 by referencing both his and the late Indian singer Sidhu MooseWala’s shared association with “295” in one of his videos.
Ramzan claims that the YouTuber’s decision to name his perfume after this number was a provocative act.
The complainant further called for strict action against Rajab Butt, citing not only the perfume launch but also his previous controversial content, including a video where he allegedly mocked Namaz.
This is not the first time Rajab has faced backlash, as his statements and online posts have led to multiple legal challenges in the past.
