ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued a press release on Wednesday briefing that more monsoon blizzards are expected in upcoming days.
The press release issued by the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has stated that Pakistan may observe thundershowers and heavy winds across the country. A westerly wave is also expected to enter upper parts of the country from Friday, the release said.
Under the influence of this weather system, heavy rainfall is expected in several cities, including Karachi.
Heavy falls may also generate urban flooding in districts of Hyderabad, Thatta, Badin, and Karachi on Saturday and Sunday, it further added.
Rain is expected at outlying places in districts of the lower region of Sindh (Mirpurkhas, Umarkot, Sanghar, Hyderabad, Shaheed Benazirabad, Badin, Thatta, Dadu, and Karachi) on Thursday.
