The toss between Pakistan and Bangladesh for the first Test match has been delayed due to wet outfield caused by rain in Rawalpindi on Wednesday.
The Test matches between Pakistan and Bangladesh are being played as part of the World Test Championship (WTC) 2023-25 as both teams are eager to perform and strengthen their position on the WTC points table.
Both teams have so far locked horns in 13 matches in six Test series with the Green Shirts emerging winners in 12 of them as one ended in a draw.
The next inspection will take place after 11:00AM (PST).
The two-match series part of the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) will run from August 21 to September 4 with both matches to be played at the same venue.
Pakistan are currently ranked sixth in the ICC World Test Championship 2023-25. They have played two away series in the championship, winning 2-0 against Sri Lanka and losing 3-0 to Australia.
Pakistan are scheduled to play nine Test matches this season, their busiest Test season since 1998-99.
