KARACHI: The mismanagement of the railways has spoiled the Eid-ul-Azha of the passengers as the delay in the movement of trains has reached from 6 hours to 15 hours.
Passengers of trains, who were supposed to be departing from Karachi today at 6 am, are still waiting at the station as their train is delayed for 5 hours. Trains leaving Karachi on the evening of July 19 would depart today, maybe this can be the reason for trains being late.
On the morning of July 20, the old bogies could hardly be loaded from Karachi. The Pak-Business Express leaving Karachi on the evening of July 19 was delayed by 15 hours and Departed for Lahore at 4 in the morning.Â
Most of the passenger trains departing from Karachi to Lahore, Peshawar, and Rawalpindi on July 18 are delayed by 6 to 15 hours to reach their destinations including Karakoram Express, Khyber Mail, and Tezgam. The departing of Khyber Mail Express is unlikely to reach Peshawar before Eid prayers on the morning of July 21.
Unaware of the technical information of the railways, the Minister of Railways remained silent and ignored the condition of the passengers. The federal minister has been acquitted of all charges by handing over the powerful bureaucracy of the railway department. Railway passengers, who have been delayed for hours, have demanded notice from the prime minister.
