News presenter Ashfaq Ishaq Satti has stated that TV anchor Rabia Anum would bear responsibility for any adverse incident, as he urged for an end to media trial until the court renders a decision on the matter.
“I’ve reached this point after 17 years of hard work. I appreciate the love you’ve shown me during this journey,” he conveyed in a video statement on Instagram.
His clarification followed his suspension by ARY News amid allegations of domestic violence. The decision was made following the registration of a First Information Report (FIR) against Satti based on a complaint from his wife, Nomaika Tahir Mehmood, who is apparently his second wife.
Sharing the FIR and her pictures on X, she has since deleted her account.
Discussing the dispute with his second wife, Satti emphasized the importance of presenting both sides of any matter. “Every situation has two aspects,” he remarked, noting that his marital quarrel was a private matter.
He further asserted that marital disagreements occur in every household, but his matter was being exaggerated to intentionally tarnish his reputation.

Wearing a pink shirt in the seven-minute video, Satti expressed regret over the public’s reaction on social media to his personal life, labeling himself as an “innocent person.”
He lamented the widespread discussion of his personal life and emphasized that the police were investigating the matter, asserting that a media trial should not be conducted when the courts are already involved.
Satti criticized his second wife Nomaika’s demand for a divorce from his third wife, likening it to blackmail.
Moreover, he accused anchorperson Rabia Anum of personally criticizing him and expressed disappointment that his former colleague did not reach out to him before making statements against him.
“I am enduring mental torture due to Rabia’s comments. My wife, children, and I are receiving threatening phone calls. If anything happens to my family, Rabia will be held responsible,” he concluded.
