LAHORE: Punjab University has announced a further postponement of examinations, delaying them by another week.
A notification issued by the university authorities confirmed that the mid-term exams, originally set to begin on November 25, will now be rescheduled.
The university’s spokesperson said that lectures would continue during this period, with departments allowed to choose between online, in-person, or hybrid formats.
This decision comes after an earlier postponement last week due to severe smog conditions in the province, which prompted a shift to online classes. During that time, the university directed staff to work remotely and conduct meetings online to ensure safety.
The smog-induced disruptions have led the administration to prioritize public health, reiterating similar measures this week to protect students and staff.
