Punjab government has announced 100,000 electric bikes (e-bikes) for students across the province as part of provincial authorities efforts to promote sustainable transportation and empower the youth.
Speaking at a ceremony at FAST University Islamabad, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz emphasized the significance of supporting students and encouraging eco-friendly travel options. During her address, she urged students to remain committed to serving Pakistan and to avoid abandoning or harming the country.
The Chief Minister also revealed an increase in the amount of the Honhar Scholarship, raising it from Rs 30,000 to Rs 50,000 annually. Furthermore, she shared plans to offer international scholarships, enabling students to pursue higher education at prestigious institutions worldwide.
This initiative aims to enhance access to higher education for students from diverse backgrounds across Punjab.
As part of her support for youth development, Maryam Nawaz launched the Honhar Scholarship program for 2,570 students from the Rawalpindi Division, ensuring financial assistance for students pursuing education in various fields.
