Punjab CM calls on PM Imran to discuss overall situation

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar called on Prime Minister Imran Khan in Lahore on Tuesday.

During the meeting, they discussed the overall situation in the province and other matters of mutual interest. Chief Secretary Jawad Rafiq Malik and IG Police Inam Ghani also met the Prime Minister.

Speaking on occasion, the Prime Minister said that hoarding and profiteering of daily use items will not be tolerated at any cost.

Earlier, PM Imran Khan arrived in Lahore, where he chaired meetings on development projects and prices of commodities.

Federal Ministers Shibli Faraz and Syed Fakhr Imam, Adviser Shehzad Akbar and Chairman Naya Pakistan Housing and Development Authority Lt Gen (r) Anwar Ali Haider accompanied the prime minister.

Earlier today, in order to control rising inflation in the country, Prime Minister Imran Khan ordered strict action against hoarders and profiteers.

PM Imran Khan said that situation will improve significantly if the government is successful in controlling hoarding in the country.
