ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant on Information and Broadcasting Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan has said that the safety of the people was the government’s topmost priority.
Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan said that the government in this regard had issued specific orders for all the federal government departments.
All those deputed on special duties will ensure their presence in offices, the special assistant said.
Talking about the office employees, the special assistant said that the workers who were suffering from flu, fever or any other disease could take leave and work from home.
Awan further said that the offices of excise and taxation, property and other commercial places will also be closed this month to prevent the coronavirus.
The shops and malls will be closed by 10 pm but for public services, the restaurants are allowed to deliver at home, she added.
Awan earlier said that Prime Minister Imran Khan has been personally overseeing the measures taken to overcome coronavirus in the country.
The government has taken these steps to curb with the international challenge of coronavirus in the interest and protection of Pakistani nationals, she added.
